Rockin' out!

Kellie got me Guitar Hero III for the Wii for Christmas. Let the rocking commence!

Our very first hand-me-down!

Jason's friends Brandon and Trey are roomates that live not far from us and they just recently got a new flatscreen tv. Since they no longer had use for their entertainment system, they gave it to us. It is in great shape and Jason and I are excited that all of our stuff is finally organized. :)

Our new rug!

Thank you Mom, Dad, Lacey, Uncle Chris, Aunt Karen, Grandma Benson and Grandpa and Grandma Nickels for you Christmas money/Pottery Barn gift cards! Thanks to your gifts, Jason and I bought this beautiful rug for our living room. (I have had my eye on this rug for quite some time.)

The Green Room

We are finally finished painting the office! It looks great. It is very green. I spent all night putting some special touches on it for Jason. I am so happy that it is done! Now I just need to make curtains. Hopefully, I will be able to make them sooner rather than later. Anyway, it is all ready to house my sis when my family comes in 5 days! I hope our paint job passes my daddy's test. :)

Sadie's Big Day!

Sadie had puppy school today and then she was groomed. She got a bath, she was brushed and her toenails were clipped. She also got her very own pink bandana. Then after all of the excitement, she took a picture with Santa! :) It turned out really adorable and everyone at PetSmart loved her! Jason and I were happy that her big morning tired her out, so we were able to paint.

Update!

Let there be light! We have electricity again! Hooray! :) We were lucky and only lost it for a day. There are still thousands without power throughout the state. The end of this ice storm is in sight. The temperatures are climbing. Hooray for 33 degrees! It rained all day today which helped because the temperature was above freezing, so the rain helped to melt the ice. Thursday should be clear, but there is a possibility of a snow storm this weekend. Oklahoma has been officially declared a disaster zone. There are fallen trees and power lines everywhere. Many people say that it looks like a tornado came through. President Bush declared a state of emergency. Electric crews from 5 other states have come to OK to help restore power. They have been working 24/7. Please pray for OK. It's not over yet. As for Jason and I, God is taking huge care of us! We have enjoyed taking pictures and I have put them together on a web album. I will continue to add more as the weather changes. Work Canceled!

Jason gets to stay home from work today and do nothing because of the ice storm. In honor of that, here are some more pictures.

Ice Storm 2007

Update!

The ice has turned to snow! I am hoping that I will be able to get some good pics later this afternoon! :)

Ice!

An ice storm hit Oklahoma City today and is expected to stay through Wed. Please pray for me, Kellie, as I have never driven on ice before and I will be one of the first ones on the road in the morning on my way to work. As for the rest of the time, Jason and I are staying indoors. We are very bummed that we had to miss church today because Lee Strobel is there, but we live 40 minutes away and the drive would be too dangerous. Jason's parents are here. They came in Friday to see the final production of our Christmas musical at church. They may be staying with us a few more nights! Here are some pictures that I took. I hope they are clear enough for you to see the icicles on our George Forman!
