Wow! Maddie is 9 months old! I cannot believe how fast she has grown. Maddie can now sit up, wave, clap, pick things up with her thumb and finger, say "mama" and "dada", reach for things, hold her sippy cup and bottle, rock back and forth while up on all fours, roll to get to things, and stand with support. She is such a wiggle worm now. Soon I will be chasing her all around the house! Above are some picks from the past few days. Enjoy!

Crazy Hair!
Clapping
Maddie's hair is crazy! It does something new everyday. Yesterday, Maddie's hair decided to flip out. I put a bow in it to tame it and then had to take some pics. It was just too cute. I wonder sometimes if she will have curly hair like her aunt Lacey. The pics really do not give it justice. Anyway, I thought I would share.
Big Girl PJs
Maddie is starting to outgrow her 6-9 month pjs. We should still be able to get some use out of them, but not for long. When she started wearing 6-9 we realized we had no pjs for her and had to run to the store that week and try to find some. This time we have decided to start looking now while she still can wear 6-9 for a month or so. You really cannot find baby pjs in any size over 9 months. We finally found 12 month pj sets that include a t-shirt and pants. She still has plenty of room in them, which is good. I decided to let her sleep in them last night. After we put her to bed, Jason and I were talking when it hit us: Maddie was wearing big girl pjs. How did this happen and where did our baby go?

Good-Bye Sadie
Today we are saying good-bye to Sadie. Giving her the love and attention she deserves became to difficult with a busy almost 9 month old. We contacted a national Brittany rescue. The OK rep met with us and met with Sadie. She placed her photo and info on their webpage. There was interest in her right away and tomorrow she leaves for her new home. She is going to live with a retired couple in Colorado who already have a 4 year old Brittany. They are so excited to met her that they are driving to the OK border. The rep for the rescue will take Sadie tonight so she can get her ready for transport in the morning. I have packed up her food, leash, treats, favorite toy and crate. I know Sadie will be very happy in her new home. All homes are researched before placement and the rep from the rescue keeps up with all her adoptions, so she will know if the adoption works out. This relieves the stress Jason and I were feeling when thinking about trying to find a good home. I know saying good-bye will be sad, but I know in the long run it will be better for us and for her.

Maddie's New Teaset
My parents have a Disney Princess teaset at their house and while we were there Maddie would play with it for hours. After seeing that one toy could entertain her for so long, we decided to go to the Disney store and purchase one for her. It is not the same one at my parent's house because that one is no longer made, but it is close. I know one day she will have actual pretend tea parties, but for now she likes to eat and bang the dishes together. :)
